Macro elements in 'Super Bad'
The title sequence is animated showing 2 guys dancing. The main plot introduced here as it highlights their relationships with each other and tells the audience that they are going to significant. Later we are hinted as to the end of the story as we find out that they are going to different colleges so they have to be separated.
It is shown in chronological order without the use of flashbacks It mainly focuses on conventions of youthfulness and sex as it presents them as sexually frustrated young men by including the conversation about pornography. This also highlights the extent of their friendship due to the intimacy of their subject. The characters that are introduced to us are the two friends and the mother of one of them. The mother is presented in a sexual manner due to the focus on her bending over in front of the guys. The social group that is the main focus is male students, more specifically sex obsessed male students. The gross but funny aspects of the humour represents them positively.
